25th Anniversary of the Death of Phil Lynott
Iconic rock legend Phil Lynott died on January 4, 1986, 25 years ago today. He died of heart failure and pneumonia in Salisbury District Hospital, England. Thin Lizzy is one of Hard Rock’s best bands with a string of classic albums spanning various line up changes. Their live show was legendary. If you haven’t seen Live & Dangerous, you should immediately! Phil and Thin Lizzy’s classic Scott Gorham, Brian Robertson and Brian Downey lineup tear the roof off the Rainbow in London. Lizzy have been a huge influence on hard rock and heavy metal music. Notable bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slough Feg, Def Leppard, Mastodon, and Crescent Shield :-) have sung their praises.

In 2005, a life-size bronze statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled on Harry Street, off Grafton Street in Dublin.
