Well I am pretty excited! Australia’s avant garde death metal band PORTAL is touring the USA. They will be in Los Angeles, California the first night of the tour and that’s where I’ll be as well. I raved about Portal in my best metal of 2009 list, so it will be a real treat to see these crazy characters live. If you haven’t heard Portal yet, get ready to be repulsed. They not only sound otherworldly, bizarre, and weird, they look that way too. The singer, The Curator appears to have changed his look for the latest album Swarth. Rather than what appeared to be a giant clock on his head, he now looks like a satanic pope. portal death metal
