As for me some of those could not be considered “heavy metal”
add some All That Remains, their new album overcome is the best, or maybe Five finger Death Punch, they are great as well. I personally like those two and cant forget trivium, shogun is their best album i think….Some of your songs i agree with and others i dont…but everyone is different so who is to judge whats the best…

I honestly have just gotten into metal, but Honor the Father by Dream Theater should be on any list in my opinion. There are a few great songs on here as well. Also “Confined” by As I Lay Dying will blow you away. Don’t forget your progressive/unique metal such as Buckethead. Peace out. Yes, I said peace out to a bunch of headbangers.

I really appreciate the words that are written to describe “Master of Puppets” but i think.. and most of the real heavy metal listeners might think.. that Master of Puppets is the best heavy metal song ever written!.. It shud be at the top.. Think about it again.. Just like u said “It’s their ninth symphony”.. but it’s everyone’s ninth symphony.. and where are other songs by Slayer, Metallica and Pantera.. Metallica have some more great Songs like – Creeping Death, Battery, No Remorse.. think again… \m/ long live metal!_
